Growing Crystals

Aim:
I want to find out how to make crystals form in a supper saturated solution.

Equipment

*A super saturated solution of Sodium Acetate
*a seed crystal of sodium acetate
*Bunsen burner
*Heat mat
*Boiling tube
*test tube tongs
*funnel
*filter paper
*small beaker

Method:

1.Fill the supper-saturated solution  through a funnel and filter paper into a boiling tube
2.The sodium acetate.make sure the test tube is facing the wall
3.take the test tube in and out over 10 seconds
4.put the test tube into a beaker with cold water after all the crystals are gone.
5.wait for about 5 minutes for the sodium acetate too cool down.
6.Get one crystal/crystal seed.put one crystal/crystal seed into the test tube after its cooled down
something will happen

Discussion:
I learnt that a crystal seed is just one crystal
I thought that it was really cool
I like how it expands in the water
